Tax Director

We are seeking a highly skilled Tax Director to join our Private Client team at Forvis. As a trusted advisor, you will provide sophisticated tax compliance and consulting services to individuals, multi-generational families, fiduciaries, and other high net worth clients.

• Provide Tax Compliance and Advisory Services: Offer tax compliance and advisory services to individuals, partnerships, trusts, estates, and private foundations.
• Develop and Manage Client Relationships: Develop, build, and manage client relationships as part of the proposal process.
• Participate in Networking Activities: Participate in networking activities to further expand business opportunities and client relationships.
• Maintain Functional Expertise: Maintain functional expertise and understanding of a client's business or family structure to address client concerns and challenges.
• Manage and Coach Tax Staff: Assist with managing, developing, and coaching professional tax staff.
• Review and Manage Projects: Review and manage projects prepared by tax associates and seniors.
• Delegate Responsibilities: Effectively delegate responsibilities to others, monitor efforts of engagement teams.
• Use Technology Tools: Proficiently use technology tools in regular assignments and demonstrate a commitment to improving work processes through the use of technology.
• Research Complex Tax Issues: Successfully research complex tax issues, apply findings to projects, and communicate those findings in writing.

• 9+ Years of Experience: 9 years or more of related experience in public accounting, law firm, or trust department.
• Education and Certifications: Bachelor or graduate degree in accounting, finance, or a related field, CPA license or J.D. degree and bar admission.
• Leadership Experience: Experience managing multiple client engagements.
