As a Home Health Companion with Right at Home, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care and companionship to our clients in their residences. Your primary responsibility will be to maintain a safe and clean environment, perform various housekeeping tasks, and engage in companionship activities that promote the well-being and independence of our clients.
Key Responsibilities- Adhere to Right at Home policies and procedures.
- Perform homemaking activities, including vacuuming, dusting, sweeping or mopping floors, doing dishes, changing bed linens, laundry, and cleaning bathrooms.
- Prepare meals and snacks for clients according to their instructions and dietary needs.
- Provide companionship and social interaction, including accompanying clients on walks, trips to social/recreational activities, and assisting with hobbies.
- Document services provided and maintain accurate records.
- Assist with activities of daily living, such as bathing, feeding, lifting, transferring, and other personal care tasks, as needed.
- High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
- Successful completion of a written Competency Evaluation.
- Valid driver's license and use of an insured automobile for work or access to adequate transportation.
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English as needed for the job.
Primarily works in client's place of residence, travel required. Shift times and days vary with client needs. May be called upon to perform additional tasks as required by supervisor.
