CyberTeck Academy is a leading provider of after-school and summer camp services, focusing on computer science and game design for students in grades 1st-7th. We partner with hundreds of schools in Washington DC, Maryland, and Virginia.

Job Summary: We are seeking a part-time teacher to join our team and teach technology classes at schools in various counties. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and be able to communicate effectively.

Responsibilities:

  • Pick up equipment from our local facility and transport it to assigned schools
  • Set up laptops and related equipment for students
  • Teach Minecraft Programming, Game Design, Animation, and/or Lego Robotics classes
  • Ensure students safely leave with parents or staff

Requirements:

  • Familiarity with video and/or computer games
  • Experience working with children between 5 and 14 years old
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Must be able to pass a criminal and sex offender background check

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Some experience with basic programming, Minecraft, Lego Robotics, or 3D modeling software
  • Some child-care, teaching, and/or tutoring experience
