Canton - Potsdam Hospital is seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist to join our team in a community hospital setting. As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of surgical procedures, working closely with our experienced medical staff to provide exceptional patient care.
Responsibilities- Assist surgeons and anesthesiologists during surgical procedures, maintaining a sterile environment and handling instruments with precision.
- Prepare operating rooms, equipment, and supplies, ensuring everything is in working order for each procedure.
- Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure seamless communication and efficient workflow.
- Participate in pre- and post-operative patient care, providing emotional support and addressing any concerns.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation, adhering to hospital policies and procedures.
- 1 year of experience as a Surgical Technologist in a community hospital setting.
- Current certification as a Surgical Technologist (NBSTSA) and BLS certification.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on patient-centered care.
- Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and call.
- High-Level Disinfection (HLD) experience.
- Airway Management and Line Insertions experience.
- Scrubbing Experience, Bedside endo procedures, and Scrub Cataract procedures experience.
