Job Summary:
Maple Heights Behavioral Health is seeking a skilled Behavioral Health Therapist to join our team. As a Behavioral Health Therapist, you will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and providing clinical services to individuals with behavioral health disorders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Apply psychotherapeutic techniques and interventions to deliver services to individuals and families for the purpose of treating diagnosed emotional and behavioral disorders.
- Conduct psychosocial assessments and develop initial discharge plans.
- Conduct individual, group, or family sessions as appropriate for the treatment plan of the patient.
- Provide initial treatment planning for patients based on assessments and coordinate additional services as needed.
- Maintain documentation of therapy services provided to each patient according to facility and professional standards.
- Maintain a caseload as assigned.
- Participate in treatment team meetings and collaborate with other staff to facilitate services for patients.
- May provide services in an inpatient or outpatient setting.
- May perform case management, discharge, or aftercare planning as needed.
Requirements:
- Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or a related field.
- One or more years of experience working with a comparable patient population.
- Requisite state or national licensure for professional therapy providers or eligibility for state licensure.
- CPR and de-escalation/restraint certification.
- First aid certification may be required based on state or facility requirements.
