Job Title: Imaging Services CT Manager

We are seeking a visionary leader to oversee our Computed Tomography (CT) Department at UC San Diego Health. As a key member of our Imaging Services team, you will have the opportunity to work with an outstanding Department of Radiology and School of Medicine faculty who are thought leaders in their fellowship-trained areas of sub-specialties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage technical QA programs
  • Provide training for staff
  • Manage protocols and policies
  • Recruit and interview new staff
  • Provide new employee orientation
  • Staff performance evaluations
  • Order supplies
  • Act as liaison for CT customers
  • Effectively communicate to resolve problems
  • Enforce policies and standards of practice
  • Coach and discipline as required

Requirements:

  • Eleven (11) years of related experience, education/training; OR a Bachelor's Degree in business, healthcare administration or related area plus seven (+7) or more years of relevant experience/training
  • BART or BLS at time of hire with commitment to get BART within six (6) months of hire date
  • Experience and proven clinical practice knowledge with applied background in a radiology modality
  • Knowledge of terms, concepts, and protocols
  • Demonstrated ability to apply knowledge in an acute care setting to improve operations

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A Master's Degree
  • Registered Technologist for Computed Tomography issued by ARRT (R.T(CT)(ARRT))
  • Three (3) years of supervisory experience
