About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our design and development team. As a Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing valves for the commercial and nuclear industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Execute the design, analysis, or evaluation of assigned projects to develop control valves/safety valves meeting customer application needs and specification requirements.
  • Make use of required design tools, such as 3D CAD (SolidWorks), PLM and in-house design calculations.
  • Review customer specifications and translate customer specification in to order instructions for manufacturing of control valves/safety valves.
  • Adhere to the design review process, ensuring accuracy, quality and design for manufacturability goals are met.
  • Provide bills of material, drawing information, test specifications and processing instructions for meeting quality and manufacturing requirements of the product.
  • Support shop manufacturing for material substitution and disposition of non-conformance reports.
  • Liaise with global engineering team for order execution and support on engineering issues.
  • Support sales to provide technical design solutions for complex control valve application.
  • Analyze field complaints to distinguish between design deficiencies and application issues and provide technical solution.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of all Codes and Standards applicable to the assigned product lines (ASME, EN, ISA, Norsok).
  • Support local planning, manufacturing, and global sourcing organizations during product fulfillment.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 4 years of experience in Engineering/Technology).
  • Strong oral, written communication, interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work independently and have good problem-solving skills.
  • 1-2 years of experience in product design, development, or application engineering.
  • Proficient in SolidWorks or similar Computer Aided Design software.
  • Possess knowledge of basic mechanical engineering design principles.
  • Working knowledge of geometric dimension and tolerance as it relates to individual parts and overall assemblies.
