Position Overview

A forward-thinking AgTech organization is in search of a dedicated Electronics Laboratory Technician to become a vital part of their team in the United States, contributing to the development of a premier brand in autonomous technology and advanced agricultural practices.

The technician will be responsible for the setup of the Electronics laboratory, selecting appropriate equipment, and initiating the lab operations in collaboration with the engineering manager. Key responsibilities will encompass the upkeep of electrical assemblies, troubleshooting, calibration, lab instrumentation, and repairing components whenever feasible, alongside generating comprehensive lab reports. The technician will also manage the company's Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) processes and liaise with suppliers to develop complete solutions for returned items. We are looking for a skilled electrical practical lab engineer.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the definition, construction, and implementation of the D-Level electronics laboratory and RMA process within the assembly line.
  • Design and create diagnostic tools for laboratory use.
  • Handle incoming RMA products, including labeling, categorizing, analyzing, troubleshooting, testing, and documenting findings.
  • Expertly operate diagnostic and testing equipment for electrical and mechanical components, assemblies, and harnesses, such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies, and function generators.
  • Repair electrical and mechanical assemblies and components, which includes soldering and wiring tasks.

Qualifications:

  • Diploma in Electrical Practical Engineering.
  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in a laboratory technician role.
  • Demonstrated experience in maintaining electrical assemblies.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical schematics and assemblies, including PCB and harness designs.
  • Familiarity with RMA processes and collaboration with vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors.
  • Strong collaborative skills with a proven ability to effectively engage and work alongside other engineering disciplines.
  • Knowledge of robotics and automotive technologies and methodologies.
  • Professional documentation skills – adept at utilizing industry-standard methodologies, ensuring high traceability, and maintaining an organized approach within a computerized environment using relevant software and applications.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and Outlook, along with other essential computer skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Relevant experience in the robotics or automotive sectors.
  • Background in agricultural technology.
  • Experience in establishing and developing electronics laboratories.
