Job Title: Recreation Specialist

Join the City of Ventura's Parks and Recreation Department as a Recreation Specialist, providing tour transportation, assisting participants, and completing travel documentation for various programs, tours, and recreation activities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive tour buses and vans for recreation programs and events
  • Assist participants with mobility and accessibility needs
  • Complete travel documentation and reports
  • Work with diverse groups and ages
Requirements:
  • Valid California Class B Commercial Driver's license with passenger endorsement
  • Current medical certificate and completed DOT training
  • General knowledge of wheelchairs and mechanical lifts
Working Conditions:

Temporary, extra-help positions working up to 20 hours per week, paid on an hourly basis. Assignments may include working at night, weekends, and holidays, with travel to game or tour locations.
