Cook County Health is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chair for the Division of Gastroenterology.
About the RoleThe Division Chair will be responsible for the strategic development and day-to-day operations of the Division, with a primary focus on leadership oversight and ensuring the quality and accessibility of patient care delivered by the Division's clinical staff.
In collaboration with system leadership, the Division Chair will develop a strategic vision for the Division's faculty and staff, implementing programs and initiatives that align with CCH's mission and goals.
Responsibilities- Lead the Division of Gastroenterology in achieving its strategic objectives
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure high-quality patient care
- Collaborate with system leadership to develop and implement programs and initiatives
- Provide leadership and oversight to the Division's clinical staff
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and accreditation standards
The ideal candidate will have:
- Seven (7) years of work experience as an Attending Physician in the practice of Gastroenterology
- At least two (2) years of this experience must have taken place in an institution in which there is active training of residents and/or fellows
- Three (3) years of work experience in administering clinical, educational, quality assurance and programs related to Gastroenterology
- Extensive clinical experience in Gastroenterology, with a strong record of patient care
