Occupational Therapist

We are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our team at the Providence Kodiak Island Medical Center, where you will work primarily in an outpatient setting with children and adolescents who have autism and related disorders.
About the Job- Hours: 70 hours per 2 weeks (average of 35 hours per week)
- Shifts: 4 x 10-day shifts with flexibility to accommodate block scheduling
- Location: Providence Kodiak Island Medical Center, Kodiak, AK
In this role, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our patients and their families. You will work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to provide occupational therapy services to individuals with autism and related disorders.
About the PositionThis is a unique opportunity for an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our team and contribute to the development of our pediatric occupational therapy program. As an Occupational Therapist on our team, you will be responsible for:
- Assessing and treating patients with autism and related disorders
- Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans
- Providing education and support to patients and their families
- Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care
You will also have the opportunity to participate in ongoing professional development and education, staying up-to-date with best practices in occupational therapy for autism and related disorders.

Requirements- Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist in the state of Alaska
- Experience working with children and adolescents with autism and related disorders
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Please note that this position requires a minimum of 1 year of experience working with children and adolescents with autism and related disorders. We are open to candidates who are new to the area and do not require local references. However, please note that all applicants must be willing to relocate to Kodiak, AK.
The estimated salary for this position is $67,692 per year based on a 40-hour workweek, which translates to approximately $32.85 per hour before taxes. This estimate is based on data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics and may vary depending on individual circumstances.
