About the Role

As a Production Supervisor, you will play a critical role in guiding and directing production employees to safely manufacture high-quality products at a sufficient volume to meet production standards with minimal waste. You will provide work direction and leadership to production employees within the guidelines of standard work rules, union contract provisions, and employment policies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Production Planning and Scheduling

Plan and schedule production runs to meet customer demands, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality products.

Leadership and Coaching

Lead, motivate, and direct employees using effective performance management techniques, including establishing expectations and goals, providing recognition and feedback, and addressing performance problems.

Continuous Improvement

Help develop a continuous improvement culture, manage and train employees on Lean program, and measure and report results to Leadership on a regular basis.

Safety and Quality

Consistently exemplify the highest safety standards, monitor others to the same standards, and ensure that all Simpson policies and procedures are adhered to by all teammates.

Operational Management

Monitor, manage, and prioritize manufacturing and receiving activities to ensure goals are attained and standards met, support Simpson's Lead program, and approve work orders, monitor backorders, and manage on-site raw materials.

Requirements
  • Education and Experience

One-year certificate from college or technical school; or related experience and/or training; equivalent combination of education and experience required.

Skills and Knowledge

Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacturing and distribution of goods.

Soft Skills

The ability to give full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times.

Technical Skills

The ability to use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems.

Work Environment

The job may require exposure to heat and/or cold, loud noise levels, vibration, and moving mechanical parts. This is a full-time, exempt position located in Riverside, California. Relocation is not available for this position.

The salary range for this position is $68,500 - $109,600 per year. We offer a comprehensive rewards package, including competitive compensation, quarterly bonuses or commission, and first-rate benefits.
