Position Overview: We are currently seeking Full-Time Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) with a competitive pay rate that reflects experience.
Incentives: A sign-on bonus of $500 is available, with an additional $500 after 30 days and another $500 after 180 days of employment.
Shifts Available: Day shift (7 am - 8 pm) Monday through Friday or Overnight shifts (10 pm - 8 am) with some weekend requirements.
Role Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality nursing services and support to individuals with brain injuries, intellectual and developmental disabilities, substance use disorders, and emotional or behavioral challenges.
- Monitor the health conditions of those served, ensuring the delivery of quality care.
- Administer medications and maintain accurate documentation, overseeing staff who also administer medications.
- Implement prescribed medical treatments as per physician orders and provide personal care services.
- Conduct health assessments and implement healthcare services in each Individual Service Plan (ISP), responding effectively to changes in condition.
- Train staff on essential topics including universal precautions, infection control, and medication administration.
- Act as a liaison and advocate with other medical professionals and external agencies to coordinate services and ensure consistent treatment.
- Provide training for individuals on self-medication, prescribed treatments, and health education topics.
Qualifications:
- Associate's Degree in Nursing or a related field, or a state certificate.
- A minimum of one year of experience in a nursing capacity with the population served.
- Current state LPN licensure for the state of residence.
- Valid driver's license, car registration, and auto insurance.
- Additional certifications as required by state regulations, such as CPR/FA, HIV/AIDS certification, BBP, and ACT training.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with staff, individuals served, and families.
