Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Travel Nurse RN - Interventional Radiology Specialist to join our team at Bluebird Staffing. As a Travel Nurse RN - Interventional Radiology Specialist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in an interventional radiology setting.
Responsibilities:
- Perform minimally invasive interventional techniques, including angiography, angioplasty, and stent placement
- Assist in biopsy procedures, fibroid removal, and fluid and abscess drainage
- Oversee the interventional radiology laboratory in the absence of the interventional radiologist
- Act as the first point of contact for referrals and patients
- Perform initial examinations and patient assessments
- Write pre-procedure orders
- Make recommendations to the referring physician, the patient, and patients family under the guidance of the interventional radiologist
- Serve as a liaison between the patient and the nursing staff and referring physician
- Perform daily rounds and communicate patient progress to the medical staff and the radiologist
- Orchestrate patient discharge and make additional referrals for home care
- Perform follow-up visits
Requirements:
- Current RN licensure
- Experience in interventional radiology
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
