We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Authorization Specialist to join our team in Tempe, AZ. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to work with complex medical orders and navigate insurance authorizations.

About the Role

This position involves working as a member of our Advanced Tasking Team, where you will be responsible for processing referrals and authorizations, consulting orders, procedure orders, and prescription authorizations. You will also assist patients through the authorization process, scheduling, and coordination of complex female health procedures.

You will maintain service level agreements in complex insurance authorizations and meet or exceed performance requirements, including processing over 200 tasks per week. This role requires strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact with patients, insurance providers, and internal teams via phone calls, emails, and chats.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in completing referrals and navigating complex insurance portals and highly complex orders within the last 5 years.
  • Experience working in a highly productive department with strong metrics accountability and ownership.
  • A positive, collaborative attitude with strong team engagement and an action-oriented mindset.
  • Working knowledge of different electronic medical records (EMRs).
Benefits

This is a contract-to-hire opportunity with a salary range of $23.25 per hour. The schedule is open 24/7, with available shifts ranging from Monday to Sunday, 6am-7pm. You will be assigned one schedule and receive 5 weeks of training from Monday to Friday, 8am-5pm. The start date is December 2nd.
