Dietary Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Dietary Manager to join our team at Willow Ridge Healthcare. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for managing and directing the operations of our dietary department.

• Lead and supervise staff members engaged in serving food in a healthcare facility and maintaining cleanliness of all food service areas and equipment.
• Develop and update Dietary Services' policies and procedures that reflect the philosophy and mission of the facility and accepted professional standards of nutrition and sanitation.
• Monitor staff members to ensure compliance with company, state, and federal regulatory workplace safety standards.
• Supervise and organize food preparation and service to ensure timely delivery of meals to residents.
• Provide food substitutes of similar nutritional value for residents when necessary and work closely with nursing staff to identify possible problems and discuss complex issues concerning residents' nutritional requirements.
• Lead and work with staff in improving procedures and quality of service.
• Ensure that all duties performed by the dietary department comply with the standards established by the company's Quality Assurance Program.

• Previous experience in a healthcare setting is preferred.
• Must be a supportive team member, contribute to and be an example of team work and team concept.

• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
• Superior verbal and written communication skills.
• Thorough understanding of policies and federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations applicable to long term care industry.
• Must possess a high school diploma or general education degree (GED); or two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
