Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and vigilant Security Officer to join our team at Greater Omaha Packing. As a key member of our security team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our staff, visitors, and premises.

Key Responsibilities
  • Surveillance and Monitoring: Conduct regular patrols of the premises to maintain order and establish a visible presence.
  • Access Control: Monitor and authorize entrance of vehicles and people into the property, ensuring that only authorized personnel have access.
  • Incident Response: Respond promptly and efficiently to incidents, emergencies, and alarms, following established standard operating procedures.
  • Reporting and Documentation: Submit daily surveillance activity reports and incident reports, as necessary.
  • Security Measures: Implement and enforce security policies and procedures to prevent vandalism, theft, and other criminal behavior.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: Previous experience as a security officer or similar role, with a strong understanding of access control, surveillance systems, and emergency response.
  • Skills: Excellent observation skills, ability to quickly assess situations, and take appropriate action. Ability to stand, walk, lift at least 75lbs, and perform security duties for extended periods.
  • Knowledge: Familiarity with legal guidelines and regulations pertaining to the security area, and ability to maintain integrity, a calm demeanor, honesty, and reliability.
