Big Data Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Big Data Engineer to join our team at TEPHRA. As a key member of our digital solutions team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing distributed data processing pipelines using Spark, Hive, SQL, and other tools prevalent in the Hadoop ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement end-to-end solutions for data processing and analytics.
  • Build utilities, user-defined functions, and frameworks to enable efficient data flow patterns.
  • Research and evaluate new technologies and tools centered around Hadoop and Big Data.
  • Work with teams to resolve operational and performance issues.
  • Collaborate with architecture and engineering leads to ensure quality solutions and adherence to engineering best practices.

Requirements:

  • Strong development skills in Hadoop, Spark, Airflow, and Hive.
  • Strong understanding of Hadoop internals and experience with data warehousing, dimensional modeling, and ETL development.
  • Experience with AWS components and services, particularly EMR and S3.
  • Awareness of DevOps tools and working experience in Agile framework.
  • Bachelor's degree or above.
