Job Summary:

As a Meat Stocker at Wegmans Food Markets, you will play a critical role in ensuring our meat department is always stocked with fresh products. You will work closely with our team to educate customers on the different types and cuts of meat, and ensure that our shelves and service counter are always fully stocked. This is a fast-paced environment that requires strong communication and teamwork skills. Key Responsibilities:

Provide exceptional customer service and educate customers on our meat products
Maintain a clean and organized meat department, including stocking shelves and preparing displays
Work effectively with our team to ensure seamless operations and meet customer needs
Unload daily deliveries and stock cases, displays, and backroom coolers with new and existing products
Participate in ongoing training and development to stay up-to-date on our products and services
Collaborate with our team to achieve sales and customer satisfaction goals
Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following all safety and sanitation procedures
Perform other duties as assigned by management

Requirements:

Must be 18 years or older
Ability to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time
Basic math skills and ability to handle cash and operate a point-of-sale system
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations
High school diploma or equivalent required
Previous experience in a retail or food service environment preferred
