The Carlsbad Medical Center is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to provide care in the Labor and Delivery department. This role involves providing medical attention to patients during the antepartum, intrapartum, immediate postpartum, and neonatal phases of obstetrical care.
Job Responsibilities:- This nurse will be responsible for utilizing the Nursing Process in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act and hospital policy and procedures to provide patient care.
- They must demonstrate critical thinking skills, scientific judgment, and leadership in anticipating and planning for safe delivery of care.
- Maintenance of clinical competencies through continuing education is also expected.
- Delegation of patient care priorities commensurate with the education and experience of staff available is necessary.
- This nurse will provide direction and supervision of assigned personnel delivering patient care.
We are looking for a dedicated professional with strong communication and teamwork skills who can work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements:- A current RN license in New Mexico is required.
- Must have ACLS, NRP, and BLS certifications.
- Covid vaccines or an approved Medical or Religious exemption per state of New Mexico are mandatory.
- This position requires night shift work from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m.
- This position is a great opportunity for a nurse to gain experience in labor and delivery.

$120,000 - $150,000 annual salary (dependent on experience)
