The registered nurse evaluates patient needs, formulates care plans, executes, and assesses patient care in alignment with the patient's requirements, leveraging their understanding of growth and development, as well as institutional nursing philosophies, policies, and standards.

- Qualifications:
- Education:
- Required: BSN or MSN or enrollment in an RN-BSN or RN-MSN program within one year of hire, with completion within five years if hired after a specified date.
- Licensure/Certification:
- Required: California RN licensure; BLS certification from the American Heart Association
- Required: ACLS certification
- Required: PALS certification (not mandatory for PICC Line Nurses)
- Preferred: Certification in a specialty practice area
- Required: California RN licensure; BLS certification from the American Heart Association
- Experience:
- Preferred: Experience in a specialty area or higher acuity setting, or participation in an internship program/course
- Required: 1-2 years of telemetry experience or in a high acuity area
- Education:
- Core Responsibilities:
- Adheres to the Code of Conduct and compliance policies, addressing compliance inquiries and reporting suspected violations.
- Conducts comprehensive assessments of patients' physical, psychosocial, and spiritual conditions, utilizing age-specific data.
- Implements care plans based on identified needs, utilizing effective communication and prioritization skills.
- Incorporates patient education and discharge planning to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Commits to ongoing professional development and clinical competency, attending required sessions and engaging in peer discussions.
- Participates in quality initiatives and performance improvement efforts, integrating recommendations into daily practice.
- Acts as a resource for other healthcare team members, supporting professional growth through feedback and coaching.
- Completes additional duties as assigned.
- Additional Responsibilities:
- Scrub Nurse Duties: Collaborates with a team to perform procedures, ensuring patient preparation and safety.
- PICC Nurse Duties: Responsible for independently placing PICC lines and Midlines, demonstrating expertise in vascular access.
- IRL Nurse Duties: Engages in a team to conduct procedures, ensuring thorough documentation and patient monitoring.
