Job Summary:

Bruker is seeking a Senior Corporate Accountant to join its Corporate Accounting Team based in Billerica. The successful candidate will be responsible for corporate accounting and finance activities, including reviewing results submitted from various locations, assisting with the preparation of financial statement disclosures, and preparing quarterly external filings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Reviewing results submitted from various locations
  • Assisting with the preparation of financial statement disclosures
  • Preparing quarterly external filings
  • Maintaining adequate internal financial controls within Corporate to ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley reporting requirements
  • Assisting in the preparation of consolidated financial statements, footnotes, and disclosures
  • Supporting and working closely with Regional Lease Teams on lease accounting
  • Coordinating and preparing financial and statistical data for periodic SEC 10-Q, 10-K, and 8-K filings
  • Ensuring all reports comply with applicable FASB and SEC regulations, professional standards, and organization policies
  • Researching and resolving various accounting and SEC reporting issues and questions
  • Assisting with the preparation of PowerPoint presentation materials for executive management
  • Managing the relationship with external auditors and completing the annual audit and quarterly reviews
  • Analyzing financial results and creating management reports
  • Assisting in the development, maintenance, and testing of the company's finance and accounting control policies and procedures
  • Completing government surveys and compliance forms
  • Assisting with the research and implementation of new accounting standards
  • Assisting the Corporate Finance team in driving internal control initiatives
  • Performing special accounting and financial projects as needed

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related major
  • Minimum 3-4 years of accounting work experience, including direct experience in corporate finance and accounting
  • Big Four accounting/audit work experience and CPA preferred
  • Advanced proficiency with MS Office, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Access
  • SAP and consolidation software (such as BPC, Hyperion Infor) preferred
  • Proficient knowledge of US-GAAP and SEC rules
  • Broad and general understanding of all aspects of finance and accounting
  • Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision, handle multiple tasks and details effectively within firm timelines
  • Demonstrated ability to interact and communicate with all levels of individuals, both inside and outside the company, in a professional manner
  • Strong work ethic, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent verbal, written, computer, and interpersonal communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to satisfactorily complete position training requirements
  • Valid driver's license in good standing, issued by resident state required
  • U.S. citizenship or U.S. permanent resident status required
  • Maintain a valid passport with flexibility for domestic and international travel
  • May be required to pass security clearance investigation
