About the Role:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) Weekend Supervisor to join our team at Salisbury Rehabilitation and Nursing Center. As a Weekend Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising the delivery of care to residents, assessing their needs, developing care plans, administering nursing care, and evaluating the quality of care provided.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise Nursing Staff: Supervise and direct nursing staff assigned to you, ensuring that they provide high-quality care to residents.
- Assess Resident Needs: Conduct thorough assessments of residents at admission and discharge to identify their needs and develop individualized care plans.
- Document Services Rendered: Accurately document services rendered to residents for billing purposes.
- Monitor Resident Care: Make daily rounds to monitor resident care and status, identifying any issues or concerns that need to be addressed.
- Implement Nursing Policies: Implement established nursing policies and procedures, educating nursing support staff as needed.
- Assign Duties: Assign duties to LPNs and nursing assistants as directed, ensuring that tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
- Resolve Grievances: Work closely with the Director of Nursing to resolve grievances with nursing staff, family members, and residents.
- Maintain a Safe Environment: Maintain a safe working environment, complying with infection control and body mechanic procedures.
- Track Infection Control Trends: Track infection control, exposure control, and resident care trends to identify areas for improvement.
- Other Special Projects: Participate in other special projects and duties as assigned by the Director of Nursing.
Requirements:
- Registered Nurse License: Current North Carolina license as a Registered Nurse.
- Experience: One to three years of related experience, with supervisory experience preferred.
- CPR Certification: Current/active CPR certification.
- Professionalism: Highest level of professionalism, with the ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Flexibility: Ability to function independently, with flexibility, personal integrity, and the ability to work effectively with employees and vendors.
