RAYUS Radiology, previously known as Center for Diagnostic Imaging and Insight Imaging, is seeking an MRI Imaging Specialist to enhance our dedicated team.
We are redefining the landscape of radiology, emphasizing its vital role in accurate diagnosis and effective treatment.
Key Responsibilities:
As an MRI Imaging Specialist, you will be responsible for operating assigned MRI equipment to capture detailed images of patients' bodies for diagnostic evaluation. You will adopt a patient-focused approach, delivering MRI services in accordance with professional standards while ensuring exceptional customer service.
Each patient arrives at our facilities seeking clarity. You will support them through this sometimes challenging experience by providing clear explanations of the process and addressing their questions and concerns regarding the examination procedures.
Essential Duties:
- Patient MRI Imaging (90%):
Screen patients prior to examinations for any precautions or contraindications, utilizing two patient identifiers to confirm the correct patient and procedure.
Explain and prepare patients for MRI procedures, detailing the process and positioning them appropriately for optimal imaging.
Conduct routine and advanced MRI scans on specified body areas for use by physicians in diagnosing and treating medical conditions, ensuring minimal supervision and repeat scans while offering patient support throughout the procedure.
Adjust MRI scanning parameters as necessary to achieve the best results.
Maintain positive relationships with radiologists, referring physicians, and colleagues.
Adhere strictly to physicians' orders and safety regulations to ensure the well-being of yourself, patients, and coworkers.
Accurately document patient information within the Radiology Information System (RIS).
Keep the work area organized and clean, promoting safe practices for patients and staff.
Ensure compliance with ACR toolkit and accreditation standards.
Maintain equipment in optimal condition, cleaning and disinfecting after each use.
Follow all HIPAA guidelines diligently. - MRI Department Support (5%):
Assist in maintaining an updated imaging protocol manual and implement software upgrades as needed.
Monitor medical supply inventory and request additional supplies when necessary.
Support the training of new staff members by providing resources and technical guidance. - Additional Responsibilities (5%):
Complete other tasks as assigned.
