Housekeeper Role Details:
The ideal candidate for the housekeeper position should possess a strong customer service orientation, along with excellent communication and organizational skills. The ability to foster positive relationships with residents is essential, as is the capacity to work independently with minimal oversight. Key Responsibilities:
- Thoroughly clean and maintain apartments, bathrooms, and offices.
- Perform tasks such as mopping, sweeping, dusting, and wiping surfaces.
- Manage waste disposal effectively.
- Ensure cleanliness of bathtubs, sinks, mirrors, and similar fixtures.
- Dust and maintain furniture and equipment.
- Polish chrome and glass surfaces in doors and partitions.
- Conduct spot cleaning of walls and dust baseboards.
- Organize furniture in public areas for optimal presentation.
- Restock supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet paper.
- Disinfect bathrooms using appropriate cleaning agents.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in housekeeping and storage areas.
- Carry out sweeping and mopping of floors.
- Adhere to performance standards for cleanliness and service.
- Assist with additional housekeeping tasks as directed by management.
Qualifications:
The successful candidate must demonstrate a genuine interest in geriatric care and align with the community's values and regulations. Responsibilities will include performing routine tasks consistently while being mindful of residents' comfort. The ideal candidate should exhibit initiative and sound judgment to maintain a clean and orderly environment. Additional requirements include:
- Minimum age of 18 years.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with team members.
- Familiarity with common cleaning equipment and techniques.
- Physical capability to perform tasks such as standing, walking, climbing stairs, and lifting up to 44 pounds.
- Exemplary customer service skills.
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Proficiency in English for following instructions.
- Capacity to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- At least one year of professional housekeeping experience.
