At Albany Medical Center, we're seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Assistant Nurse Manager to join our team in the Pulmonary/Renal Department.

About the Role:

  • Oversee the coordination of patient care services, ensuring seamless transitions and effective communication among staff members.
  • Mentor professional caregivers to deliver high-quality patient care, promoting competence, compassion, and customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with department leaders to develop, implement, and evaluate policies, programs, and services aligned with hospital mission and vision.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership for direct patient care provided by specialty nursing unit staff on assigned primary shifts.
  • Ensure competent, compassionate patient care is uniformly provided to customers, including referring facilities, hospital staff, and patients in inpatient, ambulatory, and community settings.
  • Support the development, implementation, and evaluation of policies, programs, and services consistent with hospital's mission and departmental/unit vision and philosophy.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field required; Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in nursing leadership or management roles.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
