About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate RN - General Surgery to join our team at Mission Hospital. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide exceptional patient care and support to our patients and their families.

Job Summary

The RN - General Surgery will be responsible for implementing plans of care, administering medications, and providing wound care and pain management to patients recovering from surgery. You will work closely with our interdisciplinary team to ensure seamless care and excellent patient outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Implement medically prescribed interventions and provide wound care and pain management to patients recovering from surgery
  • Administer medications and provide patient education on medication management
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized plans of care
  • Provide emotional support and comfort to patients and their families
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety
Requirements
  • Current licensure as a registered nurse in the state of North Carolina
  • One year of experience in a surgical or post-operative care setting
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive patient information
