Job Summary

Ryder is seeking a skilled Class A CDL Truck Driver to join our team. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for safely operating a tractor-trailer combination and delivering goods to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate a tractor-trailer combination to transport goods to our customers
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable federal and state regulations, as well as Ryder's safety policies and procedures
  • Load and unload freight, and assist in the loading and unloading of freight as needed
  • Maintain accurate records and logs, including hours of service, fuel consumption, and vehicle maintenance
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management
Requirements
  • Minimum 21 years of age
  • Pass a Ryder drug test
  • Pass a Ryder background and motor vehicle check, including drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
  • Pass a DOT physical
  • Pass a Ryder road test
  • Provide a valid Class A CDL and endorsements for the position
  • Have at least 9 months of verifiable experience in a tractor-trailer or comparable vehicle within the past 3 years, or 2 years of experience within the last 5 years, or 5 years of experience within the last 10 years
  • Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
  • Ability to read, interpret, and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies, and/or procedures
