Job Summary:

As an EVS Technician with Kaiser Permanente, you will play a vital role in maintaining a clean and safe environment for our staff, patients, and visitors. Your responsibilities will include performing low-level maintenance, routine safety and security surveillance, and sanitizing areas and surfaces using approved disinfectants, equipment, and supplies.

Essential Responsibilities:
  • Clean patient, staff, and public areas using the 7-step cleaning procedure, which includes high dusting, emptying trash receptacles, and damp wiping surfaces.
  • Safely operate electric and battery-powered cleaning equipment, such as vacuums, buffers, and autoscrubbers.
  • Remove trash and debris, including transporting medical waste to the waste holding area.
  • Perform low-level maintenance tasks, such as unplugging toilets and sinks, and removing medical waste receptacles.
  • Clean corridors and public areas using the 4-step cleaning procedure, which includes dry mopping, damp mopping, spraying buffing, and dry mopping.
Additional Requirements:
  • Customer service and communication skills are essential for this role.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • One year of custodial experience in an outpatient setting is preferred.
  • A high school diploma or General Education Development (GED) is preferred.
