Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Asset Protection Specialist to join our team at The GIANT Company. As a key member of our Asset Protection team, you will play a critical role in protecting our retail store assets and preventing loss and shrink within our assigned district(s).

Key Responsibilities
  • Investigate and resolve internal and external theft incidents, ensuring a safe and secure environment for our customers and associates.
  • Monitor and analyze shrink reports to identify opportunities for improvement and implement corrective actions as necessary.
  • Collaborate with the Asset Protection team and store associates to identify and address potential security risks and vulnerabilities.
  • Conduct regular store visits to identify deficiencies and execute corrective action as needed, maintaining awareness of high-risk areas to reduce/control merchandise losses.
  • Review and implement shrink reduction strategies, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Assist with preparation for National Inventory (NP) counts and attend NP inventories to assist with count audits and inventory paperwork.
  • Initiate service calls for locksmiths, keys, and cores, alarms, and CCTV as needed.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Up to one year of related experience in asset protection, loss prevention, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of criminal laws applicable to state and local jurisdictions.
  • MS Office skills.
