Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Slitter Assistant to join our team at Aerotek. As a Steel Processing Specialist, you will be responsible for setting up and operating slitter machines, ensuring proper tracking of steel during processing, and inspecting material for defects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Setup and operate slitter machines to process steel coils
  • Ensure proper tracking of steel during processing to maintain quality and efficiency
  • Inspect material for defects and report any issues to management
  • Lift and move heavy steel sheets up to 100+ lbs
  • Log all coils processed in the coil log
Requirements
  • 2+ years of experience with a slitter machine
  • Ability to read tape measure/caliper/micrometer
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
