Job Summary:

Piedmont is seeking a skilled Lab Assistant to join our team in the evenings. As a Lab Assistant, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our clinical laboratory.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform sample processing and exempt screening and monitoring tests in accordance with regulatory standards.
  • Conduct venipunctures and obtain/prepare blood specimens in accordance with Piedmont policies and procedures.
  • Assist technical staff in non-clinical tasks.

Requirements:

  • Education: High School graduate or GED.
  • Experience: None required.
  • Licenses/Certifications: None required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Phlebotomy certification through ASCP, ASPT, NCA or equivalent agency.
  • Basic knowledge of venipuncture/phlebotomy.
  • Working knowledge of clinical laboratory processes.
  • Experience in performing EKGs.
  • Experience working in healthcare or clinical laboratory setting.
