Job Summary

The Surgical Cleaning Specialist plays a vital role in ensuring the highest level of care for patients by maintaining a clean and safe environment in surgery rooms.

Key Responsibilities
  • Clean and disinfect surgery rooms and equipment to prevent the spread of infection
  • Manage and maintain supplies in surgical and procedural areas
  • Prepare stretchers and hospital beds for patient use
  • Communicate effectively with members of other surgery departments
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • 6 months' experience in environmental services, housekeeping, or healthcare setting
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience working in a team environment
  • American Heart Association CPR/Basic Life Support certification
  • Association for the Healthcare Environment/Certified Surgical Cleaning Technician certification
