Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to oversee component fabrication, assembly, and testing of flight hardware for various spaceflight systems. The successful candidate will ensure that all aspects of transforming the way rockets are made and operated are met with quality and precision.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Apply advanced materials and processes for manufacturing spin-form hardware
  • Mentor junior Manufacturing Engineers to enhance their skills
  • Review engineering drawings and provide final approval for manufacturing
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on implementing product design requirements into production
  • Analyze and resolve non-conformances and escapes, deploying systemic corrective actions
  • Manage hardware configuration and maintain pedigree throughout the build and test process
  • Develop and implement internal engineering and quality processes to standardize and accelerate process development, qualification, and rate production

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, Materials, or Aerospace Engineering from an accredited university
  • At least 15 years of direct manufacturing and manufacturing engineering experience
  • Experience with manufacturing structures, fluid systems, or mechanical systems
  • Demonstrated expertise in standing up new manufacturing processes
  • Qualifying new processes and developing process controls
  • Understanding of engineering fundamentals for mechanical design and manufacturing
  • Able to work cooperatively with teams across large geographic distances
  • Strong written, personal, technical, and software skills
  • Able to earn trust, maintain positive relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion

Compensation Package:

The estimated annual salary for this position is $175,000, with opportunities for career growth and development. This full-time role is based in Kent, Washington, USA, and we offer a competitive benefits package.
