Certified Nurse Midwife Opportunity

Central Vermont Medical Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Nurse Midwife to join our collaborative healthcare team.

This vital role involves working closely with our physicians to offer comprehensive care to midwifery patients across a spectrum of services, including antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, gynecology, and labor management and delivery.

The successful candidate will operate within the Medical Staff Bylaws, adhering to the scope of their licensure and certification, to ensure the highest level of patient care and satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide comprehensive midwifery care to patients, including antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, and gynecological services.
  • Collaborate with physicians to ensure seamless care and coordination.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of patients.
  • Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations to identify patient needs and develop effective care strategies.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure optimal care and satisfaction.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nurse midwifery.
  • Current RN license with a Vermont License endorsed as a certified nurse midwife.
  • Three to five years of clinical experience as a nurse midwife preferred.
