About You:
To be successful in this role, you should possess a high school diploma or equivalent, supplemented by vocational or technical training in education, botany, agriculture, horticulture, family and consumer science, or a related field. Additionally, you should have two years of experience relevant to the area of assignment.
Duties and Responsibilities:
The Program Assistant will assist in planning and implementing educational programming for assigned areas, including research and content development, community needs assessments, and supply management. They will also provide customer service to extension patrons and the public, coordinate volunteers, and communicate with community groups and organizations.
Skills and Qualifications:
The successful candidate will have strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively. They will also have excellent customer service skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders. In addition, they will possess a valid driver's license and be able to lift light weights (5-10 pounds) and stand for extended periods.
