We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Repair Operations Manager to join our team at Marmon Holdings, Inc. As a key member of our railcar maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective repair of railcars to meet the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Supervision: Lead and supervise a team of hourly employees in all repair activities, providing guidance, coaching, and mentoring to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to perform their duties.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, including OSHA, AAR, and FRA, and maintain a safe working environment by conducting regular training and reviews of employees and their work areas.
  • Process Improvement: Collaborate with the Repair Manager to identify areas for improvement and implement changes to increase efficiency and quality, while maintaining established standards.
  • Inventory Management: Work with the Material Manager to maintain proper inventory control, minimize waste, and ensure that all necessary materials and equipment are available when needed.
  • Employee Development: Participate in employee interviews, new hire orientation, and performance evaluations to ensure that employees have the skills and knowledge needed to perform their duties.
  • Audits and Compliance: Participate in internal and external audits to ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and company policies.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
  • Experience: 5+ years of supervisory experience in railcar inspections, testing, and repair; knowledge of Federal Railroad Administration regulations and Association of American Railroads Interchange Rules.
  • Skills: Ability to read prints and drawings, including weld and nondestructive testing symbols.
