Role Overview

As a Park Host, you will be the face of our park, responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere for all visitors. Your main goal is to ensure that guests receive outstanding customer service from the moment they arrive until their departure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Warmly welcoming guests and providing essential park information and guidance.
  • Assisting guests with harnessing and de-harnessing procedures.
  • Managing ticket sales, processing refunds, and adhering to park policies regarding transactions.
  • Handling retail sales and addressing customer inquiries.
  • Implementing rain-check distribution during adverse weather conditions.
  • Maintaining cleanliness and organization in retail areas, ticket sales zones, restrooms, and other guest and staff facilities.
  • Collaborating with group organizers to facilitate smooth operations for pre-booked groups.
  • Supporting event setup and coordination as required.
  • Conducting inventory checks of customer equipment.
  • Performing general park maintenance tasks, including mulching, cleaning, and replenishing water stations, along with other assigned duties.
  • Ensuring that all guests have a memorable and enjoyable experience.

Qualifications

  • Exhibit a friendly and professional demeanor at all times.
  • Possess strong communication skills and a patient, kind approach to customer interactions.
  • Demonstrate reliability, a strong work ethic, and personal integrity.
  • Pay attention to detail in all tasks.
  • Have a passion for outdoor work and the ability to adapt to various weather conditions.
  • Quickly learn new skills during training and on-the-job, maintaining high performance standards.
  • Availability for weekends is essential; candidates with flexible weekday availability and a commitment to the full season are preferred.
  • Experience in travel/tourism, service industry, customer service, retail, or hospitality is advantageous.
  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds.

Schedule

This is a seasonal, hourly position with a commitment of 20-40 hours per week. Preference will be given to candidates available for the entire season. Flexibility for both weekdays and weekends is required, including availability for peak holiday periods.

All candidates must participate in a mandatory orientation and training session.
