WORK SCHEDULE: Monday to Friday; 7 AM – 4 PM

WORK ENVIRONMENT: This role involves on-site responsibilities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversee and manage engineering documentation workflows.
  • Act as the operations expert for product design-related tasks (drawings, updates, bills of materials, tolerancing, and standards).
  • Lead the Engineering Change Notice (ECN) process for all released products to ensure proper alignment, communication, approvals, and continuous improvement.
  • Evaluate current product and component drawings to identify opportunities for standardization and enhancement.
  • Assist cross-functional teams in addressing product quality and manufacturing challenges through engineered solutions.
  • Translate production improvement needs into clear design requirements and concepts for both existing and new products.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation (drawings, procedures, change logs, product improvements, etc.) and track changes and deviations.
  • Provide technical and manufacturing support to ensure products are designed for optimal quality, reliability, manufacturability, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Review and recommend updates to current product designs based on manufacturing and customer feedback.
  • Lead investigations into product quality issues and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in manufacturing engineering, including identifying operational efficiencies and cost reductions.
  • Design and review procedures to incorporate automation, optimize factory layouts, and enhance production line efficiency.
  • Explore new technologies to improve quality and safety standards.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a LEAN Manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated experience in guiding and implementing manufacturing processes for new product launches.
  • Strong knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
  • Proficient in SolidWorks, Adobe Illustrator, ERP Systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to manage and maintain documentation (ECNs, RIEs, JDIs, Parts Book, Product Routing, Bills of Material, Material Management, etc.).
  • Prior experience with prototypes, conducting evaluations, and testing devices and systems.
  • Strong technical writing skills for design inputs/outputs, qualifications, and regulatory compliance.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT: This position involves working on the shop floor.
