Position Overview:
The Orthopaedic Surgery Inpatient Service is expanding at Health Alliance. We are in search of specialty-trained Physician Assistants (PAs) to become integral members of our surgical and inpatient service teams.

Role Summary:
In this role, PAs will collaborate with seasoned physicians and advanced practice providers (APPs) to manage a diverse range of orthopaedic inpatients, catering to both adult and pediatric populations throughout their hospital stay.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Conducting comprehensive medical evaluations, treatments, follow-ups, and consultations for various orthopaedic traumas and acute surgical patients.
2. Medically triaging and overseeing inpatient orthopaedic acute consults and standard pathway admissions.
3. Delivering direct patient care as part of a collaborative teaching service and care team.
4. Developing proficiency in procedures, including but not limited to, first and second assist in the operating room, as well as casting, splinting, traction, and other routine orthopaedic care interventions.

Qualifications:
Candidates must be board certified as a Physician Assistant and possess or be eligible for an applicable state license. Ideal candidates will have at least one year of clinical experience; however, motivated new graduates with a keen interest in orthopaedic surgery or related subspecialties are encouraged to apply. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team are essential.
