We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Assistant Store Manager to lead our sales floor team at Goodwill of Central & Northern Arizona. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in retail management, excellent communication skills, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service.

About the Role

This is a full-time opportunity that requires the ability to work varied hours, including evenings and weekends. As an Assistant Store Manager, you will be responsible for leading the daily operations of the sales floor, managing a team of sales associates, and driving sales growth through effective merchandising and inventory control.

Responsibilities

  • Leadership and Management: Lead and develop a high-performing team of sales associates, providing coaching and feedback to ensure exceptional customer service and sales results.
  • Sales Floor Operations: Manage the day-to-day operations of the sales floor, ensuring a positive and welcoming shopping experience for customers.
  • Merchandising and Inventory Control: Oversee visual merchandising, product placement, and inventory management to drive sales growth and maintain a visually appealing store environment.
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service, addressing customer concerns and resolving issues in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Training and Development: Develop and deliver training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of sales associates, ensuring they are equipped to provide outstanding customer service and achieve sales goals.
  • Store Maintenance: Maintain a clean and organized store environment, adhering to Goodwill's high standards for appearance and cleanliness.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with other store managers, district managers, and corporate staff to share best practices, address challenges, and drive business results.

Requirements

  • Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent required; one year of retail management experience preferred.
  • Certifications and Licenses: Valid driver's license required (if applicable).
  • Skills and Abilities: Excellent communication and leadership skills, ability to work varied hours, and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
