Key Responsibilities:
As the Pharmacy Department Manager, you will oversee the daily operations of the pharmacy, ensuring effective staff supervision, management of clinical programs, and efficient communication within and between departments. Your role will include:
- Timely and accurate preparation and distribution of pharmaceutical products.
- Participation in quality improvement initiatives to align patient therapy with current medical practices and regulatory standards.
- Management of pharmacy resources to ensure high-quality patient care.
Qualifications:
Education:
Doctorate in Pharmacy from an accredited institution.
Licensure:
Current PHARMD license.
Experience:
Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in a pharmacy setting.
Skills:
Proficient understanding of Drug Utilization Review Procedures and Therapeutic Drug Monitoring.
Demonstrated expertise in outpatient and unit dose dispensing, IV admixture compounding, and other clinical pharmacy programs.
Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment and respond effectively to urgent situations.
Strong leadership capabilities, including team development and mentorship, with a focus on motivating and engaging staff.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with strong organizational and time management abilities.
Work Schedule:
Full-time position with evening shifts, Monday through Friday.
Occasional weekend requirements may apply.
Compensation:
Pay range is competitive and based on experience, education, and skills.
