Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform maintenance actions and provide proof of a current (valid) FAA A&P license.
  • Troubleshoot malfunctions in aircraft engines and auxiliary power units.
  • Remove and install aircraft subsystem assemblies and components.
  • Service and lubricate aircraft and subsystems.
  • Safely prepare aircraft for inspections and maintenance checks.
  • Perform scheduled inspections and assist in performing special inspections.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot aircraft systems using special tools and test equipment.
  • Use and perform operator maintenance on tools, special tools, and aircraft ground support equipment.
  • Apply comprehensive technical expertise to solve moderate problems.
  • Repair, replace, and rebuild aircraft structures and functional components.
  • Use a working knowledge of technical publications and the Government STAMIS to make entries in aircraft logs and records.
  • Read and interpret manufacturers' and airline's maintenance manuals, service bulletins, technical data, engineering data, and other specifications.
  • Perform 40/120 hour inspections, progressive, isochronal, phase, periodic, and other hourly or calendar inspections.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of two (2) years experience with documented training on the Model, Designation, Series (MDS) H60 series.
  • A current (valid) FAA A&P license.
  • At least one (1) year of documented experience in general aviation.
  • A valid driver's license.
  • A High School Graduate or GED.
Preferred Experience:
  • Knowledge of equipment related to individual requirements UH-60.
  • Knowledge of military publications (including electronic manuals), drawings, blueprints, microfilm, diagrams, and schematics.
  • Knowledge of military and/or company forms required by work specifications.
Physical Requirements:
  • Is required to climb, stand, stoop, bend, stretch, crouch, and work in tiring and uncomfortable positions.
  • Frequently lifts parts and equipment up to 20 pounds.
  • Occasionally lifts objects up to 50 pounds.
