Key Responsibilities:- Perform maintenance actions and provide proof of a current (valid) FAA A&P license.
- Troubleshoot malfunctions in aircraft engines and auxiliary power units.
- Remove and install aircraft subsystem assemblies and components.
- Service and lubricate aircraft and subsystems.
- Safely prepare aircraft for inspections and maintenance checks.
- Perform scheduled inspections and assist in performing special inspections.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot aircraft systems using special tools and test equipment.
- Use and perform operator maintenance on tools, special tools, and aircraft ground support equipment.
- Apply comprehensive technical expertise to solve moderate problems.
- Repair, replace, and rebuild aircraft structures and functional components.
- Use a working knowledge of technical publications and the Government STAMIS to make entries in aircraft logs and records.
- Read and interpret manufacturers' and airline's maintenance manuals, service bulletins, technical data, engineering data, and other specifications.
- Perform 40/120 hour inspections, progressive, isochronal, phase, periodic, and other hourly or calendar inspections.
- A minimum of two (2) years experience with documented training on the Model, Designation, Series (MDS) H60 series.
- A current (valid) FAA A&P license.
- At least one (1) year of documented experience in general aviation.
- A valid driver's license.
- A High School Graduate or GED.
- Knowledge of equipment related to individual requirements UH-60.
- Knowledge of military publications (including electronic manuals), drawings, blueprints, microfilm, diagrams, and schematics.
- Knowledge of military and/or company forms required by work specifications.
- Is required to climb, stand, stoop, bend, stretch, crouch, and work in tiring and uncomfortable positions.
- Frequently lifts parts and equipment up to 20 pounds.
- Occasionally lifts objects up to 50 pounds.
