Job Description

Job Title: Freelance Burmese US-Based Interpreter

Language: Burmese

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Freelance Burmese US-Based Interpreter to facilitate communication between Burmese and English speakers. The ideal candidate will have excellent listening, retention, and note-taking skills to maintain a high level of accuracy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Interpret Burmese to English and vice versa with high accuracy and speed
  • Render correct concepts and meanings according to established interpretation protocol
  • Explain cultural concepts to avoid miscommunication with permission or at the request of the client
  • Work in a quiet and secure environment with minimal distractions

Requirements:

  • Fluency in English and Burmese
  • Minimum 3 years of interpretation experience
  • Excellent listening, retention, and note-taking skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively

Technical Requirements:

  • Computer or laptop with Windows 10 or higher
  • USB wired headset
  • Steady wired internet connection
