Job Title: Histotechnologist/Histotechnician

We are seeking a highly skilled Histotechnologist/Histotechnician to join our team in Upstate New York.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for processing and preparing fixed and unfixed tissue and cytology specimens using various histologic techniques. They will also teach and instruct other lab staff in these techniques, supervise and train new staff or students, and contribute to corporate strategy for additional regulatory approvals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Process and prepare fixed and unfixed tissue and cytology specimens using histologic, frozen sectioning, immunohistochemical, in situ hybridization, and tissue microarray techniques.
  • Teach and instruct other lab staff in these techniques.
  • Supervise and train new staff or students, including hiring, performance management, and related duties.
  • Contribute to corporate strategy for additional regulatory approvals.
Requirements:
  • Associate's Degree in Science (or higher).
  • ASCP (HT or HTL) or eligible to obtain.
  • Experience is preferred (but not required).
  • NYS Licensure to work in the laboratory required.
