Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced HVAC Technician to join our team as an A/C and Refrigeration Instructor at Apex Technical School in Long Island City, New York. The successful candidate will teach hands-on work with a group of students eager to learn.

The instructor will be responsible for delivering high-quality training programs in refrigeration, air conditioning, and appliance controls. Proficiency in reading blueprints, manuals, and HVAC schematics is essential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver classroom and hands-on instruction in A/C and Refrigeration systems
  • Install and repair various HVAC equipment
  • Troubleshoot compressor and control systems
  • Perform routine maintenance on HVAC systems
  • Braze and solder copper tubing

Salary: $60,000 - $80,000 per year
