- Develop individualized treatment plans to address specific challenges and goals, including exercises, activities, and adaptations to enhance independence and function.
- Work directly with clients to implement treatment plans, which may involve therapeutic exercises, activities, adaptive equipment, and environmental modifications.
- Educate clients and their families about their condition, treatment strategies, and ways to manage daily activities more effectively.
- Recommend and teach the use of adaptive techniques and assistive devices to help individuals overcome challenges and perform tasks independently.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as physicians, physical therapists, speech therapists, and social workers, to provide comprehensive care.
- Work with individuals experiencing mental health challenges to develop coping strategies, improve social skills, and enhance overall mental well-being.
- In occupational settings, assess and modify work environments to promote safety and productivity for employees.
- Valid Occupational Therapy Certification in the state of practice.
- 1 year recent Occupational Therapy experience in a rehab setting.
