Diesel Mechanic

As a Diesel Mechanic (Service Tech III) at United Rentals, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our equipment fleet. This position requires a high level of mechanical aptitude, strong problem-solving skills, and excellent communication abilities.

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on complex equipment, including diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and electrical components.
• Assist in the training and development of junior technicians to ensure a high level of technical expertise across the team.
• Maintain accurate and detailed records of work performed, including completion of work orders and maintenance schedules.
• Travel to customer job sites as required to perform repairs and maintenance on rental or customer-owned equipment.
• Assist with the delivery and pickup of equipment and parts, ensuring timely and efficient service to customers.

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• 3-5 years of experience in equipment maintenance and repair, with a strong background in diesel engines and mechanical systems.
• Advanced mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of tools and equipment.
• Strong communication and customer service skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
