Resident Camp Counselor Trainee

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Resident Camp Counselor In Training at YMCA Camp High Harbour at Lake Burton. As a key member of our summer camp staff, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional experiences for our campers and contributing to the overall success of our program.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in the planning and implementation of engaging activities and programs for campers
- Provide support to campers and staff in a safe and healthy environment
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with campers, staff, and parents
- Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge
- Contribute to the overall success of the camp program through teamwork and collaboration
- Completion of the Resident Camp "Leader-In-Training" Program
- Current First Aid/CPR/AED/O2 certification
- Ability to work actively while supervising children
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
- Ability to handle multiple tasks, work independently, and problem-solve
- Strong customer service skills and personal commitment to service and hospitality
- Must be at least 16 years of age
- Knowledge of the outdoors and environmental education
- Pass a criminal background and drug screening check
