Homewatch CareGivers - Windsor is seeking empathetic and skilled 24-Hour Live-in Caregivers (CNA, HHA, PCA, or similar experienced caregivers) to provide essential support to clients in their residences. As a caregiver, you will play a vital role in enhancing the health and comfort of your clients by offering companionship, assistance with household tasks, and hands-on support with daily hygiene, mobility, and other daily living activities.

Work Schedule:

Live-in caregivers typically stay at their client's residence for 2 to 5 consecutive days, with a consistent schedule usually repeating weekly. Occasionally, there are opportunities for continuous live-in assignments. During the live-in period, each 24-hour day is structured as follows:

  • 13 hours dedicated to client care
  • 8 hours reserved for sleep
  • 3 hours allocated for personal time (breaks)

Responsibilities:

  • Independently and confidently provide care to one or more clients in their homes.
  • Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as personal hygiene, mobility, and meal preparation.
  • Ensure a safe and tidy environment by performing light housekeeping, laundry, and other household duties.
  • Engage with clients meaningfully through conversation, activities, and personalized care.
  • Facilitate transportation and accompany clients to external activities, such as shopping and appointments. Driving is not a requirement for live-in caregivers.
  • Encourage clients to make healthy choices as outlined in their personalized care plans, including medication reminders and support with physical therapy exercises.
  • Monitor, document, and communicate any changes in clients' health and well-being.
